Sue Roman, Debbie Scott, Gabriela Cader, and Taylor Jones (as pictured from left to right) close our commercial real estate acquisitions and are the offense, defense, and special teams platoons of the Huttonite Closing Team. This team is responsible for communicating with the parties involved in the acquisition process and essentially, “closing the deal.” We won’t bore you with specifics to their position; just know that if closings were like football games, this team reaches the End Zone and nails the touchdown every time!

This team is responsible for the implementation and creation of Business Applications (with Dynamics 365). They are dedicated to creating systems that assist day to day business functions across the organization while maintaining data integrity across all departments. They create live dashboards, reports and other means of visualizing critical business data to further business decisions. Sulieman Ali is the solutions architect, responsible for design and implementation of Hutton’s Business Applications. Drew Clark is responsible for understanding all business processes and how individuals use information, perform tasks, what tools they have available to them, and how they want to visualize information. He collaborates with Sulieman to design the management information system architecture and user interface. Cyril John is responsible for creating reports and graphs, as well as testing the quality of the system.
Together they are an energetic powerhouse of efficiency and productivity!

Hutton Construction was honored to be chosen to be a part of Walmart’s new venture. Project Ajax is a fully automated grocery pick up concept. The first of its kind in North America, Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Walmart has tested this concept in only two places in the world. How it works: Customers place an online order and pick up their products within 48 hours through use of a code. When the code is entered at the facility, a robot selects the pre-loaded bin and places it on a conveyor, which deliver it outside to the customer.

Boomerang, Jennifer Greer has returned to HUTTON! As the Vice President of Operations, she will be responsible for building and strengthening the company’s positions in single tenant, multi-tenant, and shopping center developments. She began her career as a member of the HUTTON team in 1999 as she helped oversee and develop over 400 stores in a seven years’ time. Recently, she has worked with CBL properties for eleven years as the Senior Director of Development, where she was responsible for implementing the company’s new development strategy and expanded the company’s retail and mixed-use developments. Her extensive experience has included responsibility for oversight of all phases of pre-development and due diligence including proforma modeling, coordination with all consultant team members, joint venture negotiations, option agreement negotiations with land owners, and interaction with municipalities and forming public private partnerships. We are excited to see the WINS she will bring to our team and our customers!

Karen Hutton was awarded CGLA’s Founders Leadership Award at the 8th Annual Odyssey Awards Luncheon for HUTTON’s commemorating the vision and dedication of the founders of Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy. The Founders Leadership Award was established in 2017 to recognize a company or an individual who has supported the mission of CGLA. Through action, advocacy, partnership and philanthropy, HUTTON has helped give underserved, disadvantaged girls access to a quality educational experience. Through the award, CGLA celebrated the enthusiastic advocacy, passionate service, and generous philanthropy of HUTTON for creating opportunity for, developing the potential of, and actively transforming the lives of young women in Chattanooga.

HUTTON celebrated the grand opening of Oglethorpe Square. Oglethorpe Square is located at 849 West Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville, GA. The shopping center includes a Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, PetSmart, TJ Maxx, ULTA, Longhorn, Starbuck’s, and Aspen Dental. The tenants opening in the next few months are Panda Express, Jersey Mikes, T-Mobile, Chick-fil-A, Wayback Burger, Barberito’s, and Great Clips.

HUTTON celebrated with CGLA on Wednesday at the grand opening of their newly-renovated gymnasium! HUTTON”s Development and Construction teams managed the gym from start to finish, along with European Works who provided the construction services. We are excited about this WIN for the school as it is our largest philanthropic endeavor to date!

HUTTON GO-GETTERS; Allie Worley and Eric Seebach volunteered with Dominique Brandt with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday in Chattanooga. They were responsible for building a shed for a backyard, as well as, building walls and flooring!

HUTTON & CGLA employees spent their Saturday cleaning the CGLA gym to get it in tip-top shape for the upcoming grand opening. HUTTON & CGLA employees swept, mopped, and dusted everything from the kitchen and bathrooms to the gym.

Construction is officially underway on Oglethorpe Square, HUTTON’s newest shopping center development. Members of HUTTON’s Shopping Center Team took part in the ground breaking ceremony on May 5, 2016 in Hinesville, GA. The Shopping Center is located on 24 acres of land on Oglethorpe Highway and features over 171,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Longhorn Steakhouse, and many other major national retailers. Oglethorpe Square will be open for business in March 2017. This is HUTTON’s third development in Hinesville, GA.

HUTTON’s real estate team raised $17,300 for CGLA’s Backpack for Success with the help of our vendors. HUTTON raised enough money to provide 11 students at CGLA with a backpack that includes; 2 uniforms, wireless internet at home, text books, experimental learning, summer programs, and field trips.

HUTTON volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday in Chattanooga to work on Luther’s home. HUTTON volunteer’s pressure washed the pavement, replaced vents, caulked to get ready for paint, and built a door for the crawlspace.
